Here from Debate Ground Zero, we really don't know any more than the rest of you. But for those of you who are sketchy on yesterday's events, here's a brief timeline (all times CDT):
2:30pm - Sen. John McCain announces he will suspend his campaign to focus on the economy. He asks Sen. Barack Obama to do the same, as well as consider postponing the Friday night's debate.
4:40pm - Sen. Obama holds a press conference stating that swift action is necessary to stabilize the economy, but he believes that a president should be able to do this and prepare for a debate. He plans on staying in FL unless he knows his presence will help speed things along.
5:30pmish - Sen. McCain states he will not attend the debate if a measure by Congress has been passed.
6:30pm - President Bush calls Sen. Obama and asks him to join a bipartisan meeting at the White House on Thursday afternoon. Obama accepts.
Is the debate still on? The university is moving forward, and the town holds its collective breath.
