What Isaiah Likes To Do

(aka Suggestions for Christmas)

Isaiah has reached a really fun age. He is very active in how he plays, and it seems he has an even more active imagination (if you can imagine such a thing). He has several imaginary friends; the most popular being Maya, armadillo, and Robin Hood. They appear in the bathtub, outside the window, at the breakfast table, and especially in his room when he is in there alone.

Some of his favorite activities include ridding our house of dragons and crocodiles, as well as chasing the rhinos (see picture).

When Isaiah is not imagining a new world to play in he really loves puzzles, Mr. Potato Head, and his train track. Toys that beep, talk, or make some other noise don't entertain him as much anymore - he really uses his mind a lot when he plays.

Of course, the other thing Isaiah really likes to do is read. We probably read about 10 books a day and some of those over and over again. He likes Dr. Seuss, The Berenstein Bears, Curious George, Thomas the Train, Winnie the Pooh, Peter Rabbit, Clifford the Big Red Dog, and I don't know what else.

I hope you have found this update on Isaiah both helpful and entertaining. I would write more, but I have to go chase the rhinos...they're everywhere!

D -- I loved reading this update on Isaiah. His interests almost identically mirror our Ellie (well, except for dragons -- in her case, it's alligators). It's helpful to me as a measuring stick for Ellie's development which appears to continue to match other kids born around the time we brought her home from Albania!

Now I know what to expect when Zion reaches Isaiah's age. How fun! Happy weekend to you and the beautiful family D!
